One could say the wild chose Gautham Kumar: While many visitors flock Sri Lanka's national parks - on several occasions - simply to spot a wild cat - a Leopard greeted him on his first, and spoke to him straight through his lens! From that day forth, Gautham invests every moment he can within the boundaries of national parks, equipped with a lens to capture stories from the wild - one click at a time.
His exposure to life in the city first had him inclined to street photography, and later this expanded to event photography. However, departing from the familiar compositions of landscapes, skylines and everyday life, Gautham's heart is now bound to the animal kingdom. After all, it's a world of its own, with so much left to discover. Fortunately for animal lovers and wildlife enthusiasts, Gautham Kumar brings tales from the wild through photographs that are timeless.
