Irma Engelbrecht is a South
African paint artist born 1954 in Cape Town. She has been painting since her
childhood and she has had her education in Europe in Business and Art streams.
Before moving back to South Africa
from Europe, she has held a few exhibitions in USA during her travels and also
in Austria. She has the distinction of having a permanent display of her work
for the past 6 years at the Fine Art Portfolio Gallery at Cape Town Waterfront.
She is currently a career
painter with production of artwork being her primary occupation. She has had
her solo art exhibition in Muizenberg and was a part of a group exhibition in
Simonstown in South Africa. She also promotes her internationally through
online channels and also art collectors based in South Africa.
Irma's several artworks were
jury chosen at the online gallery competition "Art Call" which is an annual
event and her artwork "Returning Home", an original acrylic painting
is on show at the prestigious "Seitz-Mocaa" Museum at the Cape Town Waterfront
until end of 2020.
Irma says, "I am a hopeless art lover forever longing to improve, creating art that I can release with peace in my heart."
