Madhu Perera is an artist from Sri Lanka who always liked to draw and paint even from her childhood. She has already participated in many exhibitions and competitions during her school days and had won a couple of silver medals by taking part in Shankar Children's Art Competition held in India. In addition to this, she had obtained a Diploma in Interior Designing and Decoration at the NMIT (Preston Campus) in Melbourne, Australia. She has also studied in Jewellery Designing at the Gem and Jewellery Authority, Colombo.
Madhu has got the opportunity in the meantime to pursue a career in the Aviation which has given her a good exposure to worldly matters which she was inspired by, including art. She has now decided to start a new chapter in life to pursue her interest in drawing and painting which have always been Madhu's passion. She derives inspiration from nature, scenic locations and portraits and she loves to work with Acrylics, Watercolor and Pencils. Madhu believes that art gives one a feeling of happiness, independence and a relaxation which is one of her objectives in painting.
