Mayurie Fernando is a Sri Lankan artist who engages in design with knowledge, skills and attitude about art. She is engaged in artistic painting and creates various artworks using different techniques and different color mediums.
Art and craft have been her favorite pastime from her childhood days. Art has played a major role in her life and has given her the confidence to move on. She followed Art as a subject in her school time and after O/L examination she attended with a class which is taught Art Subject. After that she improved her talent with it and still continuing her work.
She identified her talent on her own and now it's being 7 years for her work. She is not limited to one subject and has focused on various subjects. And she is mostly working with acrylic paintings because it is familiar with her.
Currently she is a member of "Kala pola" which is Sri Lanka's annual open air art fair showcasing and promoting visual art. And she is hoping to hold a solo exhibition in near future.
