Experienced Oil Artist, Art Teacher and Art Adjudicator

Renuka Dias is an artist from
Sri Lanka who simply loved and was fascinated by the subject of art since
childhood. In support of her passion, she chose the same subject for her higher
education.
After her education, she
continued to share her passion with children by serving as an art teacher at
Colombo Art Gallery and Royal Institute in 2010 and 2012 respectively. Since year 2018 she had been serving as the
Art Director at the Government Sponsored Renuka Dias Art Institute.
Renuka also has been
recognized by numerous recognitions:
1989 - National Youth Services
Council (Second place in Modern Art)
1989 - Excellence Award for
Sculpture of the Ceylon Arts Association
1992 - First place at the
105th Anniversary Exhibition of the Ceylon Arts Association.
2006 - Zonal Award presented
by Ceylon Art Association.
She has also taken part in many
art exhibitions during her career, including the Annual Art Exhibition organized
by George Keyt Foundation from 1991 until 2021. She was also a regular
participant at the street art festival "Kala Pola" where she had taken part
every year since its inception. In 2009 she held a solo art exhibition under
the theme "Lines and Color" which was well received.
Renuka is also given her services as an art judge where she too part in judging S.A.G.T Children's Painting Wave Judging Activities and Lions Club Art Exhibition in 2012.
