Talented Portrait and Abstract Artist

Shashintha Dilhani is a talented young artist hailing from
the southern region of Sri Lanka. She is a Bachelor of Arts graduate with
second class honors from the University of Visual and Performing Arts in Sri Lanka and can
proudly claim to have held a few solo art exhibitions even before she entered
the University in 2014. She had also participated in a few group exhibitions
after she commenced her university education where she has been well recognized
for her talents.
She showed her talents from her primary education days and
Shashintha has many achievements under her belt. She remembers being placed
first in the All-Island Art Competition during these days and also receiving
State Awards in the Portrait Category at the State Art and Sculpture Festival
in 2017.
She loves her portrait work and is proud of what she has
achieved in this area in her artistic journey thus far. Shashintha's preferred mediums
are pencils, pastels, acrylics, carbon pens and coffee paints which she uses
regularly for her portrait work. Apart from portraits, she also loves her
landscapes and nature inspired work. She is an inspirational artist who is
always on the lookout to create something innovative and new and she is not
limited to a style. She has also done a few experiments with 3D paintings, tree
illusions and body paintings which significant success.
Shashitha also is keen on undertaking commission work for her much beloved audience.
