Contemporary Artist and Interior Designer

Sugath Sanjeewa is a Sri Lankan Contemporary
Artist and an Interior Designer, who uses a mix of traditional and modern
styles in his creations, and he often tries to create works which suit interiors.
He has completed his higher studies at the University of Moratuwa and he also possesses
a multidisciplinary design related Diploma at the National Design Centre along
with a Diploma in Photography from the University of Kelaniya.
So far, he has won local and
International level competitions with his work while his work was also selected
for the Young Contemporary Artist 2007 competition which was organized by
George Keyt Foundation. His work can also be viewed at Jetwing Jaffna Hotel
while he has been a regular contributor for Kalapola Art Fair continuously for
more than 10 years. He prefers to create paintings and interior design work parallelly
and has also done a solo painting exhibition in 2001 under the name Ridma
Rekha.
He is
also the founder of local interior brands 'Thotilla' and 'Pablo'.
