Sunil Lakshman, born in 1954 in Colombo, Sri Lanka is the former president of The Ceylon Society of Arts Sri Lanka and 03 times selected Artist for Osaka Triennale Japan (1994/1996/1997). He is a Realistic and Abstract Artist, Painter, Sculptor and Art Printer with exceptional talent. Sunil's world-famous print creation 'The Peacock' exhibited at the 5th international contemporary Art Competition Osaka, Japan 1994, which was purchased by the Council of Habikino city, Japan for permanent collection.
His creations exhibited at several international exhibitions held in India, Bangladesh, Russia, USA, Australia, China and Japan has brought great honors to Sri Lanka.
Sunil says that "Art should be Aesthetic and the viewer should experience aesthetic chills or be pleased in response to the Art work". From the scratch of a Charcoal to the ends of oil & amp; amp; amp; Acrylic and in a shortest time to the longest time consumed on a creation, I have been in this profession for long enough to be familiar with it.
