Sunilbandu Perera started his painting career because of his father who is very talented in that field and because of the inspiration from him. He grew up reading comics papers and newspapers and started drawing skillfully with more interest than other children of the same age.
According to him, small children used to draw by looking at comics papers in magazines. He started drawing in this way. He had also studied art during his school days and was lucky to start his career with comics papers. "Disnaya, Malsara, Suhada, Sumihira, Dasuna, Siwsara are comics created by his hand and he has also contributed to the comics papers like "Oyath ekka man, Ranthetiya, Bonda Meedum, Sandata Ahasa Adarei, Sahan Thotupola, Sundari" and etc. He has also worked as a page layout artist in Sumathi Publications and has contributed to companies like Bates Strategic Alliance, U & amp; amp; amp; V, G.P.L, Group Publicity. He has also worked as an Art Director for over 15 years.
He is Currently engaging in art activities full time as an painter, illustrator and a freelancer artist.
