Venura Kasun is a Sri Lankan artist and a printmaker with more than 5 years experience, who loves to print the themes of environment and nature. He creates his artworks by printing, normally on paper. As he said, Prints are created by transferring ink from a matrix to a sheet of paper or other material, by a variety of techniques. Venura has made a lot of drawings and paintings by using various types of printmaking such as Woodcut, Monoprint, Etching, Monotype, Dry point and Aquatint print.
He is a Bachelor of Arts graduate from the University of Visual and Performing Arts in Sri Lanka. He has participated for many exhibitions in Srilanka, and among of them he competed in the printing category and was awarded second place for his wood cut print at State Art Sculpture Festival in 2020. As well as at the same year he took part for an international online art exhibition and received a certificate by appreciating him.
