An endemic species to Sri Lanka, this kaleidoscopic creation is known as the Common Jezebel. Colored in hues of red, orange, white and black, this pretty butterfly frequents a variety of habitats throughout the country. Here she rests carefully on a bed of leaves decorated with pretty white flowers, her delicate wings open wide showing off beautiful ornaments and slowly makes her way to take a sip of the sweet nectar. She is delicate enough not to destroy the flowers, but leave it for the world to admire. The creator has captured a moment and painted a breathtaking piece rich in color.
