Kolam Series is created for a traditional dance performance comprised of numerous episodes and diverse characters perform their roles representing the traditional rural setting of Sri Lanka. The Kolam Dance form is also educational and a moral lesson is taught through a Buddhist Jataka Story. Maname Kind and Queen Kolam is a direct influence from the Danuddhara Jataka story which describes the tragic end of Prince Maname due to the fragility of his unfaithful wife.
