I was inspired to do this painting by a composition by the Italian contemporary composer and pianist Manuel Malandrini, my friend and piano teacher. It is the 2nd movement of his Concerto in C major, which reminds me of a walk. I drew the sketch to the music with my eyes closed in order to authentically translate the tones into colors, gestures and shapes, as far as possible without using my mind.
