Nov 30, 2020

It is with great honour and pleasure I announce my painting 'Relaxed' has been juried into the SAA 2020 Members Exhibition at the Hiram Blauvelt Art Museum in Oradell, NJ, USA, this fall. I would like to thank @uli_wildlife on Instagram for the beautiful reference photo and the society.

Titled: 'Relaxed' (2019)
Subject: Leopard (Panthera pardus)
Medium: Acrylic on acid-free, medium-grain, 380g/m2 cotton canvas
Dimensions: 60 × 70 cm

Original acrylic painting of a beautiful leopard (Panthera pardus) from Sabi Sand Wildtuin (game reserve), Lowveld of Mpumalanga, South Africa — safely relaxed in the early morning sun, high up on a tree, where they keep a watch for easy prey.

The leopard population is spread across sub-Saharan Africa and parts of Asia. The leopard is listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List. (Wikipedia)
