Ruwan Samaranayaka

Multi-Talented Contemporary Visual Artist

Sri Lanka

Ruwan Samaranayaka works as a teacher in a government school, where he is dedicated to shaping young minds through education and discipline. Alongside his teaching career, he proudly serves as a Major in the National Cadet Corps (NCC), contributing to the development of leadership, responsibility, and patriotism among students.

He is a graduate in Visual and Performing Arts, a background that reflects his deep connection to creativity and artistic expression. Painting has been a lifelong passion for him, one that he continues to nurture alongside his professional responsibilities. He primarily works with acrylics on canvas, exploring form, color, and emotion through his artworks.

For him, art is more than a hobby—it is a personal journey of expression and reflection. Even while balancing his roles as an educator and NCC officer, he consistently makes time to explore and evolve his artistic practice, allowing creativity to remain an integral part of his life.
