Morning in the Meadow

Using acrylics, the creator, in this piece marries domestic comfort and the wilderness on a single canvas. Sunlight streams through the trees into an open clearing, which has been cordoned off by a simple fence. Behind the fenced in field, a dark forest blend contrastingly into the background, creating an endless space of dark wilderness.

In contrast, the light seeps into the foreground, adding another layer to the storybook feeling embodied in the painting. Sunshine reflects on the leaves of the slender branch, hanging overhead, the leaves touched by the light turning a light yellow.
